Adoption fee $600 Location: Dallas area HEY, I'm MACK!!! I'm a crazy, funny boy who loves to play, play, play but I have a cuddle and loving side of me, too. I was the big stud in a backyard breeding set up, but a wonderful lady rescued me from that situation. Oh, yeah, you think that might not be such a bad deal for a handsome fella like me, but I was a very sick guy! I was super skinny, dehydrated, let's not even talk about my potty issues because they were bad!! My rescue angel was great and she loved me but she just didn't have the funds to get me better after repeated trips to The vet so she contacted Short Mugs Rescue Squad. I actually got worse before I got better for awhile and I had to have an emergency surgery. I almost didn't make it. My foster family was very concerned about me, and I'm a lover boy when I'm not playing and I never acted like I was sick the entire time. Yep, I kept playing and loving my foster family and cuddling on the couch with the other doggies in the house. It took about 6 weeks, but the right medication helped me and I was finally able to go have my neuter surgery and I had to have a permanent repair of my prolapsed colon. I'm a new, healthy man!!! I'm loving life in my foster home where I am surrounded by a pack of lady bully dogs, but I only seem to like these ladies, so far. I haven't liked any boy dogs that have come into the home and I didn't care for another lady dog that visited. I do try to be the Big Man of the house at times and start trouble with one of the bigger dogs in the house, but my foster family is teaching me that is not acceptable behavior, ever. So, if you have other pets I'm not sure how I will react to them. There is a chance I might like a lady dog to play with, like my foster sister, Trudy. We get along really good. We are about the same size, but I'm thinking I don't like dogs that are bigger than me.
I really, really like being with my people. I am learning it is okay to spend time in a kennel when my foster family is gone from the house or at night to sleep, but other than that I want to be where my people are at. I am high energy as I am still young so if you have a small yard or live in an apartment you need to make a commitment to walk me every day or I will have a lot of extra energy and I will get very bored and when I am bored with all of that energy stored up I tend to get into things I shouldn't get into. Garbage cans get turned over and all of the stuff gets torn up and I find TV remotes on end table and chew on them. I can jump pretty high so I can even get to CD cases, whatever those are, and chew on them, all because I am bored and unattended for more than a minute or so. It just seems like forever when I'm not around people or I'm not playing with my foster sister, Trudy!!
I know I seem so overwhelming, but I am learning more manners everyday, and I am still young. I am trying to be a good boy and only chew on toys. I do have the snuggle side of me that is sweet and gentle to help offset the times when I'm all play, play, play!! So, can you handle the Mack Attack?? Will you be my FUREVER family? To love all of me?? I'll be here waiting for you, playing, and snuggling. Mack
