Roses are red and Violet was blue, when I lost my home.  You guessed it my name is Violet and I was surrendered by my owner when my dad became ill and he could no longer care for me because of his health.  I am a fun loving, big teddy bear who loves to spend time with my person.

I am currently searching for my special someone who will be my forever family. I will be best suited for a home with older children as I am a good sized girl who loves to jump up on people to greet them and I could easily injure a small child. I do have a dominant personality when it comes to other dogs so I will request a fur friend who will let me be the queen. I currently live with two other submissive dogs and I get along with them just fine. I also live with two cats and I don't pay one bit of of attention to them.  I do love to eat and I will eat all of mine in a flash and I also will try to sneak bites out of the other dogs bowls, you might say I enjoy my food and everyone else's too!  I do request a backyard which I will utilize daily for running and playing, weather permitting of course.  I will occasionally enjoy a chew bone and have shown little interest in toys, but I do love to sit in your lap and in fact I could sleep the day away snuggled up close to you.  I am house trained and crate trained and in my previous home I was trustworthy out of a crate and was free to roam in the home when left alone.

My favorite thing to do is spend time by your side and for that reason I would request a home where I wasn't left alone for long hours.  I do not have anxiety to being home alone at all, I would just love to have you home. I will bark when I hear you arrive home and my foster mom says I have a loud bark. Heck, I'm just trying to let her know how happy I am that she is home and with that being said I might not be best suited for apartment life.
